Oh my God, I just might be one of the biggest dorks to ever dork.

(Yeah, it's officially added as a fandom in my profile now. Just when you think you're all fanned out...)

Also, since this seems to be making the rounds: Name a character and I'll tell you three (or more) facts about them from my own personal pseudo-canon.

"You kill 10 people, you go to Texas, they hit you with a brick, that's what they do. 20 people, you go to a hospital, they look through a small window at you forever."

How about 33 people? Not that it really matters, since the guy offed himself.

Most everyone is probably aware of the happenings by now, but there's always a possibility someone isn't... I didn't know until about 7 PM when I logged on to LJ. That's what comes from not following the news, I guess :\

May the souls of all those involved find peace.

I've got a pair of jeans that had developed a hole in the pocket due to keeping my Burt's Bees in there all the time (the rough edge wore down the fabric). So I sewed a patch over it today. It's the first time I've sewn a patch on anything.

Lookee! )

Also, some Exalted fanart, cause I said I was going to.

Meercal plays with Ambresia's hair )

Also, I've been watching the DVD of 'The 10th Kingdom' pretty much since I got home (at 1:30). It astounds me the amount of stuff that got cut from the VHS version (oh hey, here comes another one now. "Prearranged acts of bravery"! XD). Especially all the extra stuff with Wolf. Iamallasquee.

From [info]featherspy.

The first five people to respond to this post will get some form of art, by me. It will be about or tailored to those five lucky "victims." This offer does have some restrictions and limitations.

# I make no guarantees that you will agree with what I perceive as art and/or quality.
# What I create will be just for you.
# It'll be done before 7 days have passed. ("You have seven days...")
# You have no clue what it's gonna be. It may be fic. It may be poetry. I may draw or paint or chainmaille-weave something. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure! It's definately going to be something recievable via-internet. If you want original drawings, sent via mail, I can rustle that up too...
# I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you have to put this in your journal as well, if you expect me to do something for you!

This LJ is 3 years old today. :) In memorium (since I've never remembered to celebrate before this year), I direct you to the first post I ever made. Aah, the days of early LoTR-fangirlery. And the days when you still needed a code to create a journal! o_O Yipes.

It also happens to be Eddie Izzard's birthday*. Which is pretty rockin'.

Since my mind was wandering as usual during Shakespeare class, I drew a human version of Bunnie Rabbot ::points to icon::

Image hosting by Photobucket
She would either have short hair or pigtails, I can never decide.
But she has got to be my next Halloween costume... I wanted to do it this past year, but I ran out of time. >_< Aside from BONE's Thorn, she's one of my favorite fictional female characters (aren't I literary).

And it saddens me that only one person has looked at the BONE pics. Go lookee, they make me happy. ^____^

*And Charles Dickens' and Garth Brooks'!

P.S. My journal is an Aquarius, which means it is friendly, original, independant, unpredictable and detached. Here's its horoscope for today:

Travel plans may include the children. Singles should take initiative in romance. Creative types will enjoy increased productivity. The question of how to respond to another's proposal makes you uncomfortable.

P.P.S. And since he wouldn't allow comments on the entry, could someone please tell me what holiday [info]jdezredel is talking about here? *iz confuzzled*

For French Neoclassisism, we read Kushner's interpretation of "The Theatrical Illusion". I fell in complete awe of The Amanuensis, servant to the magician Alcandre. Not that unusual that a servant-type character would intrigue me, but still.

I have drawings.

He... dissolves, a cloud of vapor, like them? )

Now it's time for a meme. Seen it before a coupla places, but [info]of_carabas inspired me to do it.

Chances are people you don't even know are being introduced to your journal every day, either randomly or through someone else. In addition to recent entries, people can get to know you better by what you posted in the past. With that in mind post a link to your entries on this day three months ago, six months ago, nine months ago, a year ago, and two years ago. If there was no entry on that day, link the closest date.

3 MONTHS AGO: I was squeeing over fireworks, and a Stahl-related dream I'd had the night before.

6 MONTHS AGO: I found out I'd been accepted to the Shakespeare & Company Summer Program!

9 MONTHS AGO: I pondered over Christian/Pagan connections and how much fun it is even just pretending to be a drunken idiot, received my 'Sin City' books in the mail, and posted a reaction to said books. That was a busy day.

1 YEAR AGO: Posted some Atra fanart, and a quiz.

2 YEARS AGO: Random excerpts from old Dream Journals.

Now it's time to write a paper.

Thank GOD that week is over.

...The people at [info]lotr_ratings seem to think I am Frodo. Ah well, at least they got the right race this time :P
I'm less than surprised anyway; this isn't the first time people have said I resemble Elijah Wood.

Meanwhile over at [info]wizardingworld_ I'm garnering votes for Sirius, which is unexpected but awesome.

In non-rating comm news, I may be getting the DVD of this movie for my birthday. You may bow down to me now. :P

EDIT: Time for Fanart of the Day. Well, yesterday actually. Did it during Body&Soul class. ::shifty eyes::

So today I went to my last classes before finals week, watched 'Carnivàle' while screencapping 'Bully' (that sure is a trip, lemme tell you), cleared up some space on my Tripod account for AVATAR and proceeded to update said site, and pondered on why I prefer journal-based RPGs to LARP.

No offense to my DCP peoples. I just think I like more the idea of playing out peoples lives rather than just their conflicts. If that makes sense.

I also did some art. It's Race (more specifically OT)/Moulin Rouge crossover stuff. Yeah. I like crossovers. ::shifty eyes::

They called her the Sparkling Diamond )

This last one is more relevant to Race as a whole... It's Orabelle Avery, Max's mum. Just so people have an idea what she looks like.

Really she's not that old in wizarding years, but she isn't aging well. She's quite ill.
Hmm. I should do the family character development for Avery. It would help a LOT.
I'd be tempted to give the points to Hufflepuff anyway, though. Mmm, bias. XD

Usually when I'm on a fandom kick (whatever the fandom may be), I write fanfic more often than draw fanart. It's just what I do.

But for some unfathomable reason, being on an HP kick means almost zero fanfic and lots of fanart. It just inspires me to draw...

"The last time I watched [an animated movie] was in 5th grade, when I was trying to re-live my childhood."

I've been thinking of starting an account at deviantart.com. But there's only one thing that's holding my back.

I'm afraid of posting my original artwork on the internet. It's one thing to write fanfiction (which is technically a copyright infringement anyway) and post it- nobody can rip you off because, well, you're already ripping somebody off. But I tried copying a picture from deviantart onto my own computer and it was all too easy (I was hoping they'd have some sort of security measure, like plastering a big "DEVIANTART.COM" over the picture if you tried to copy it. But no dice).

Does anyone have experience with this website or others like it? The site states that no part of it may be used without written permission, but I think people who're looking to steal something wouldn't listen to that anyway. What do you think?

The real version of this is much bigger... Unfortunatly you can't really see all the details here, but I had to make it smaller so I could upload it. I spent almost two hours on it, inhaling marker fumes Xp But at least it was worth it. I'm off to read Shakespeare now.

As promised... Dilandau as an Agent.

Ben and I spent a good few minutes of Physics class (we never do much in Physics class anyway) figuring out who the other characters would play in a Matrix-like Escaflowne. Here's what we figured out:

*NEO will be played by HITOMI: I originally thought that if Dilandau was Agent Smith, Van inherently had to be Neo. But the thought of Van Fanel being humanity's only hope is far too shudder-inducing. Hitomi's the one with all the powers, anyway.
*TRINITY will be played by VAN: Who else is gonna be paired romantically with Hitomi? I'm considering whether or not to draw him in drag *snrk*
*MORPHEUS will be played by ALLEN: No discussion involved here. Allen's the leader of the whole gang, so who else would be Morpheus?
*AGENT SMITH will be played by DILANDAU: Obviously. Dilandau's not mentally stable enough to be a normal Agent, but... Smith is no normal Agent.
*THE ORACLE will be played by... Well actully this one's not decided yet. We figured it would either be FOLKEN or THE MOLE MAN, for different reasons. Those who know the Esca characters, any thoughts? :-)

More pictures to come over the weekend. ^.^
